Magazine Articles

http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/2010/oct/17/pulp-fiction-crime

- This link is an article reviews Pulp Fiction, my focus film. It also mentions Resouvoir dogs which is another film I am researching by Quentin Tarantino. It useful because it shows how the films are on about crime but with a light-hearted point of view. For example, the well known scene were Steve Buscemi gets named Mr Pink in Reservior Dogs or when Vincent Vega and Mia Wallace start dancing in a restaurant in Pulp Fiction. It also discusses the impressive cast list Quentin Tarantino uses in each film, including: Samuel L Jackson, Harvey Keitel and Tim Roth (who features in both films).

- The second link reviews Inglorious Basterds as it wasn;t mentioned in the first article, I thought it would be good to get a seperate review. Similar to the other article exceppt it explains Tarantino's recent film and how a group of jewish mercenaries led by Brad Pitt set out to murder and scalp nazi soldiers of world war 2. It sounds like a gruesome topic (well it is) but the article describes how parts like the "pretending to speak Italian scene" are used to add a bit of humour to lighten the mood of the film.

Useful Internet Sources

I've decided to do my research on the successful director Quentin Tarantino, in every film he has grim features and ideas involving many deaths but still manages to involve many humerous points in each film. Pulp fiction is a clear example and that's why it's my focus film, the two other films I will research is Inglorious Basterds and Reservoir Dogs.

- Here are a couple of useful internet sources to help me with my Quentin Tarantino research.
